Mid-May already? Really?! 15 May 2010It's official: Not having a diary does not make the year go any slower. Since last update I have been to Bologna for the Children's Book Fair and to Paris for (fellow Rinzen member) Craig's Darcel exhibition at Colette. While there, the wonderful Genevieve Gauckler took us to Halle Saint Pierre to see Art Brut Japonais – an inspiring exhibition of art created by over 60 Japanese artists, who suffer from a variety of disorders such as Autism and Down's Syndrome. Highlights include spiky ceramic beasts and hand-made credit cards. It runs until January 2011 so if you happen to be in Paris, do visit. I arrived back to samples of the letterpressed posters I illustrated for Tune (thanks to Studio on Fire for this photograph) – and talked about my studio for Herman Miller's Lifework. It probably goes without saying, I am now clutching my newly-purchased diary with me wherever I go. |
