I am Rilla Alexander

My work is all about security and warmth and being loved and hugged. It's about sleeping and dreaming, reading and being read to and skipping all the way home.

My cast of creatures sleep on the walls of Hotel Fox in Copenhagen (where I replaced the bed with a tent), populate the Swiss Cornér Bank and dance across ceramics for German porcelain maker Rosenthal.

I am creating a growing range of children's products for Madrid's Museo del Prado based on the Hieronymus Bosch masterpiece "The Garden of Earthly Delights" and my characters masquerade in Grimm Brother's Fairytales for German publishers.

I am a member of design and art collective Rinzen.

I am Australian, though now live in Berlin. I chronicle many reasons to live here in my "Obsessed" blog.
